Honoring our heroes this Veterans Day

By Tony Nguyen / Lifestyle / November 7, 2023

Veterans Day holds a special place in our hearts. It is a day of remembrance, reflection and appreciation to our military veterans who served and sacrificed for our freedom.

Oklahoma City is deeply rooted with veterans. Our beliefs and values are non-existent without the service and dedication our military veterans stood bravely to defend. Our veterans remind us that we should lock arms and move together to advance and protect the safety of our families, neighbors and home.

As we approach the official day of Veterans Day (Nov. 11), our community and surrounding communities across Oklahoma City graciously honors the men and women of our military. Celebrations, parades, and ceremonies are scheduled for this week. Make plans to attend an event below to thank, salute and show lifelong gratitude to our heroes.
