Letís do lunch this month and grab a drink

By Molly Fleming / Lifestyle / February 11, 2020

We’d love for you to come eat lunch with us a few times this month. Will any of these dates fit your schedule?

Hopefully, you read this on the day you get it. We like to think you’re awaiting the arrival of this e-mail in your inbox, so now your day is complete. But grab your coworkers and head out early to our monthly Sunset Reception, which starts at 4 p.m. and lasts until 6 p.m. at the Oklahoma Proton Center. Sunset Receptions are casual networking events hosted by Chamber member companies to showcase their location, products and services. Chamber members are welcome to invite guests or prospective members to enjoy an evening of networking.

Complimentary parking is available at the on-site parking lot and at the INTEGRIS parking lot directly west of the building. The reception is free to attend, no need to RSVP; however a business card is required for entry.

Lucky for you, we had to reschedule last week’s Megalunch event, so you can still attend on Feb. 12. What’s Megalunch you ask? Well, it’s not a Transformer that makes your lunch. Though, that would be super cool.

Megalunch is a speed-dating-like event, where you get a few minutes to talk about your business with other folks and make connections, then everyone rotates to meet someone else. Being held at the Yale Theater, you’ll get to mix and mingle with people from all types of entities, from nonprofit organizations to one of the premier country clubs in the region. Only one person from your company can come due to the nature of the event. Register now or at the event, starting at 11 a.m. Learn more about Megalunch, including what companies will there, by clicking here.

Another opportunity to join us for lunch is on Feb. 19 at our monthly Chamber Forum, held at Vast in the Devon Tower (the tallest one in the skyline). At this month’s Forum, Superintendent Sean McDaniel will give an overview of how the Pathway to Greatness implementation at Oklahoma City Public Schools has impacted classrooms, teachers and school staff throughout the district. For more information or to register, call 405-297-8921 or e-mail register@okcchamber.com.

Finally, one of the biggest lunch events of the year happens on Feb. 26. Come hear Mayor David Holt give his State of the City address to a crowd of more than 1,500 business leaders at the Cox Convention Center. Find out more about the event and register by visiting our site.
