National Coffee Day: sip, savor and celebrate

By Selena Romero / Lifestyle / September 26, 2023

Fuel up for fall season with National Coffee Day on September 29th! Coffee shops and aficionados come together to celebrate the joy that a cup of coffee brings. This celebration takes on a special significance as Oklahoma City is scattered with talented baristas and good local coffee. Here are a few notable local spots to enjoy on the special day (and who knows, one can become your go-to favorite).

  • Woodshed Coffee & Tea (Country Club Village) — As a come-up in the coffee scene, Woodshed will have you covered with some of the best matcha and espresso around. Customers are welcomed by a humble group of baristas passionate about community and kindness. Also, they have special curated bouquets of flowers for you to grab on your way out. And did we mention they have good coffee?
  • Sincerely Coffee Roasters (Midtown) — A coffee place with a story told by those who drink it. Speaking of stories, this shop is connected to Commonplace Books and is the perfect place to sit and enjoy your morning joe.
  • Willow (Deep Deuce) — An inclusive community space to meet, study, work remotely and engage with local art, and (of course) to get your fuel in. Tell your dogs that they are also welcome here.
  • Clarity (Downtown/Wheeler) — Home of the well-trained baristas, Clarity crafts some of the best coffee in OKC, roasting their espresso beans in-house.
  • Hunny & Honey (West Village) — New to the scene but not to the coffee machine. Making room for coffee and mental health, Hunny & Honey strives to reinvent coffee by applying mixology while also creating a space that advocates for mental health and well-being.
  • Perets Dessert & Coffee (West Village) — For the night owls, Perets provides a late-night living room vibe while crafting up coffee, notably their affogatos, and delicious desserts.
