You can celebrate your freedom beyond the Fourth of July with opportunities across the Oklahoma City metro all weekend long! Read below for more about all the events happening across OKC.

OKLAHOMA CITY

Stars & Stripes River Block Party – July 2
RIVERSPORT’s Stars & Stripes Block Party will kick off with “Doga” -- that’s dog yoga -- with Bar K, then will continue the fun with adventures, surfing and whitewater rafting open all day. There will also be traditional Fourth of July activities for the family including a watermelon eating contest, yard games, grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, and ice cream, ending with fireworks at dusk. Kids Take Over the Cowboy – July 2
Celebrate the holiday weekend at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum with patriotic crafts, candy guessing games, and an American flag scavenger hunt. You can play a game to win a dessert and enjoy story time at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. It’s free for members or with Museum admission.

Frontier City – July 2-4
Enjoy all the thrills Frontier City has to offer along with fireworks displays all weekend long. Double your excitement as you fly through the night on one of the rides and watch fireworks burst overhead. You can learn more and secure your ticket on Frontier City’s website.

OKC Philharmonic annual “Red, White and Boom” – July 3
Join the Oklahoma City Philharmonic for their annual event as they perform patriotic music that celebrates America’s independence at Scissortail Park beginning at 8:30 p.m. Following their performance, spectators will enjoy a beautiful fireworks display. The first 5,000 guests will receive a free Oklahoma City Philharmonic fan.

EDMOND

Liberty Fest – June 30, July 2-4
Celebrate our nation’s birthday with events throughout the weekend the whole family can enjoy. Liberty Fest includes several activities including a concert in the park, Liberty Sprint and parade. They all lead up to the fireworks finale on July 4 at 9:30 p.m. at E. C. Hafer Park. The fireworks display is one of the largest in the metro area and always a favorite of those who attend. BETHANY

Freedom Fest – July 2
Bethany Freedom Fest has a day full of activities beginning at 10 a.m. with a parade and a street festival that includes a car show, entertainment, vendors and food in Downtown Bethany. Fireworks will cap off the day at 9:55 p.m. in Eldon Lyon Park. Learn more about the event on the City of Bethany Facebook page.

NORMAN

Fourth Fest – July 4
Norman will celebrate Independence Day with yard games, face painting, cornhole tournament, food trucks, adult beverages, live music and fireworks beginning at 5 p.m. in Reaves Park. You can learn more about the event on the Norman Parks and Recreation Facebook page.

MOORE

Celebration in the Heartland – July 4
The City of Moore has activities for the family beginning at 2 p.m. at Buck Thomas Park. Activities include food trucks, children’s activities, a train, helicopter rides, inflatables, vendors, and more. Fireworks can be seen around 9:45 p.m. For more information, visit the City of Moore’s website.

YUKON

Freedom Fest – July 3-4
Yukon’s Independence Day celebrations take place over two days and include several free outdoor concerts, food trucks, contests, kids' activities and more. Both nights you can enjoy fireworks at 10 p.m. The fun starts on July 3 at 5 p.m. and continues July 4 at 8 a.m. Learn more about the event on the City of Yukon website.
