A peaceful getaway can be found here in Oklahoma City. Unlike many local parks, Martin Park Nature Center unites the country wilderness with the serenity of the great outdoors.

The trail area at Martin Park Nature Center extends to 2.5 miles. Visitors will be in awe of the forest-like setting as they are guided by preserved and natural pathways. Rest benches are located throughout the trail, along with an open pavilion perfect for large parties and gatherings.

Animals such as turtles, ducks, birds and deer call this nature park home. There are provisions and rules when visiting Martin Park Nature Center, as detailed here at okc.gov.

There are activities for everyone in the family. Kayaking events, group/guided hiking, evening trail hiking and youth archery classes are available. A playground is onsite to welcome children of all ages. Visit their website or call to schedule an appointment to participate in these activities and to reserve time at the pavilion.

Currently, the park is open daily from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Visitor Center is closed on Mondays, but is open Tuesday–Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
