Pumpkinville is back for family fun and entertainment

Get ready, OKC! The Myriad Botanical Gardens is hosting their annual Pumpkinville. This event is a fall tradition in our city to welcome visitors and families to an experience unlike any other.
Pumpkinville kicks off this Friday, Oct. 6, with classes and exhibits through Oct. 22. This year, the theme for Pumpkinville draws inspiration from retro postcards, highlighting landmarks, culture, and wildlife from around the world.
Take a journey through various parts of the world in Oklahoma City’s premier venue. Registration is required for daily classes to embark on a tourism kaleidoscope from China, Brazil, Kenya, Mexico and Egypt.
Children will enjoy activities such as paint-a-pumpkin, along with unlimited rides on Mo’s Carousel. Commemorate the family outing with pictures of the Statue of Liberty, Mt. Rushmore, and other scenic backdrops.
Members of the Myriad Botanical Gardens can skip the line and enjoy the event, while general admission fees for ages 3 and over are as low as $9. To learn more about Pumpkinville, visit the Myriad Botanical Gardens’ website.
The excitement from Pumpkinville and the fall season should not be short-lived. To continue with the fun, families may want to create their own Pumpkinville at home. Go wild with your imagination and set up a makeshift gallery of pumpkins, fall and cultural decorations. Our previous pumpkin carving tutorial will surely help integrate Halloween to the mix!
