Red, white and BOOM: Fourth of July events in the OKC metro
The Oklahoma City metro is preparing for a full lineup of patriotic events to celebrate Independence Day. From concerts and fireworks to parades and family festivals, residents will have a variety of ways to celebrate the Fourth of July.
Red, White and Boom at Scissortail Park – July 3
The OKC Philharmonic presents its annual Red, White and Boom concert on Wednesday, July 3, at Scissortail Park. The performance begins at 8:30 p.m., featuring patriotic music led by Maestro Alexander Mickelthwate. The evening concludes with a fireworks display over downtown. Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets.
OKANA Resort’s Star-Spangled Bash – July 4
OKANA Resort and Indoor Waterpark will host its first Star-Spangled Bash on Thursday, July 4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The all-day celebration features live music, lawn games, face painting and a hot dog eating contest at 2 p.m. Fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. on the OKANA lawn, located near the First Americans Museum.
OKC Comets Fireworks Night – July 4
The OKC Comets will take on the Las Vegas Aviators at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark on Thursday, July 4. The first pitch is at 7:05 p.m., followed by a post-game fireworks show. Tickets are available at MiLB.com.
Frontier City Star-Spangled Nights – July 4–5
Frontier City will host Star-Spangled Nights on July 4 and 5, with nightly fireworks shows at 9:30 p.m. The park will remain open for full ride access and themed entertainment during the day. Fireworks are included with park admission.
Celebration in the Heartland – July 4 (Moore)
The City of Moore will host its annual Celebration in the Heartland from 2 to 10 p.m. on July 4 at Buck Thomas Park. This free, family-friendly event includes food vendors, inflatables, live music and fireworks at 9:45 p.m.
LibertyFest – July 4–5 (Edmond)
Edmond’s LibertyFest marks its 53rd year with a parade at 9 a.m. and fireworks at Hafer Park at 9:30 p.m. on July 4. Festivities continue Friday, July 5, with the Liberty Sprint 5K and music in Stephenson Park.
Freedom Fest – July 3–4 (Yukon)
Yukon will host Freedom Fest over two nights, July 3 and 4, across Chisholm Trail Park and City Park. The celebration includes concerts, games, food trucks and a fireworks show both nights at 10 p.m. Admission is free.
Fourth Fest – July 4 (Norman)
Norman’s Fourth Fest will take place at Reaves Park on July 4 starting at 4 p.m. Entertainment includes performances by Raiders of the Pop Chart, Jason Young Band and Lip Service. A BBQ competition and kids’ zone are also planned. Fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m.
