Registration deadlines approach for 26th Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon

By Chamber Staff / Lifestyle / March 5, 2026

With race weekend about 50 days away, the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon is entering the final stretch before thousands of runners and spectators gather in downtown Oklahoma City.

The 26th annual running event is scheduled for April 24–26 and is expected to draw participants from across the country. Race weekend includes multiple distances, including the full marathon, half marathon, quarter marathon and 5K, along with the Kids Marathon and senior division.

Organizers expect strong participation again this year. In 2025, roughly 25,000 runners took part in race weekend, nearly five times the number who participated in the event’s first year.

For the 2026 race, organizers expect runners from all 50 states as well as several countries, highlighting the event’s continued national and international reach.

Registration prices increase as the event draws closer, making it best to sign up now. The final price increase is scheduled for April 24 during last-minute registration.

    • Half Marathon: $145
    • 5K: $65

Founded as a tribute to those impacted by the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon has grown into one of the city’s most recognized annual events. The race honors the lives lost, survivors and those changed forever while bringing together runners, volunteers and spectators in a shared act of remembrance.

The event also brings visitors to Oklahoma City each year, supporting local hotels, restaurants and businesses while showcasing the city to out-of-town guests.

Organizers encourage runners and walkers planning to participate to register ahead of the final pricing deadline later this spring.
