Stay warm by watching live music

By Marcus Elwell / Lifestyle / November 19, 2019

We’ve got to be honest: Keeping track of all the concert announcements is getting a little tough. It seems like every day, two or three amazing shows are announced for Oklahoma City. We don’t think it is a tad bit hyperbolic to say the live music scene in the 4-0-5 has never been better.

There have already been huge shows announced for 2020 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena, including Cher in March, Elton John in July and Michael Bublé in August.

Our friends at the Tower Theatre have announced several shows in 2020, including Oklahoma City’s own, John Moreland and Wolf Parade. The venue has concerts booked into May, so be sure to check the schedule and put tickets on your Christmas list.

Also in 2020, keep an eye on the Yale Theater, which has started hosting events for the Latinx community, though there are some exciting partnerships happening so you never know who or what you might see popping up at the Yale, just south of downtown.

But enough about 2020. There’s still plenty of live music to see in 2019. Here are some shows were excited for happening before the end of the year. Of course this is far from a comprehensive list. Hit us up in the comments below or give us a shout on Twitter or Facebook with the concerts you have your eyes on.
