Stroll through town with your dog at the best spots in the OKC metro
If you are a dog owner and new to Oklahoma City, chances are the hunt for dog parks is on your to-do list. Luckily, OKC has plenty of options to get the tails wagging for happiness.
Studies show that dog parks are one of the fastest-growing segments when it comes to city parks. The number of dog owners nationwide has pushed the need to establish more dog parks, multiplying in development since 1979.
Walking with your dog has many benefits. It promotes health, strengthens bonds, teaches obedience and builds community. It’s a wonderful opportunity to set a foundation of trust with your four-legged friend, along with being alert on social behaviors and tendencies.
As we join our dog owners in celebration of National Walk Your Dog Month, we want to share a list of dog parks in OKC where you and your companion can spend a joyous day outside.
