Support your neighbors by dining out during OKC Restaurant Week

More than 40 local restaurants are encouraging residents to dine with them during OKC Restaurant Week to benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.
Beginning March 7, restaurants across the city will donate a percentage of their proceeds to the food bank when special menu items are purchased. The weeklong initiative, presented by Bank of Oklahoma (BOK), will incorporate restaurants ranging from quick-eat burger joints to fine-dining destinations.
“The communities we serve are where we live and raise our families,” BOK Market President of Oklahoma City Greg Wheeler said.
“We’re deeply focused on being good partners with our nonprofits, as well as local businesses, which is why OKC Restaurant Week was the perfect fit for us to support.”
Regional Food Bank CEO Stacy Dykstra said the local restaurant community has a history of caring and providing meals for fellow Oklahomans facing food insecurity, assisting the food bank in distributing around 50 million pounds of food across the state each year.
“A lot of us don’t have much of an income, and these meals on the weekends make a big difference,” said a local man, Fred, who receives help from the food bank each month.
You can help your neighbors experiencing food insecurity by visiting one of the participating restaurants, March 7-12. For more information, visit www.restaurantweekokc.com.
