The arrival of sweet berries in the grocery store is always a sign that summer is right around the corner. Luckily for us Oklahomans, much of the state is a great climate for growing berries and peaches. While it can be fun to grow your own, that’s not an option or desire for everyone. However, if you still want the experience of picking some tasty Oklahoma fruit, check out this list of local farms where they do most of the hard work for you. We’ve tried to round up all the u-pick farms in the 10-county region, but if we’ve forgotten one please let us know.

Before you leave home it’s always best to check with a farm to see if they're open (rain may close a farm for a few days due to too much mud) and have fruit to pick. Typically, you can expect the fruit to be in season as follows.

Strawberries: April-May
Blackberries: June-August
Peaches: June-August
Grapes: August

If you're just on the hunt for some local produce check out one of Oklahoma’s farmers markets. Many of the farms above bring produce to the local farmers market.
