Some people may say the holidays are the best time of the year, but I prefer to say they are the brightest time of the year. There are several light displays located across the Oklahoma City metro that allow a great family-friendly activity to either walk or drive through, depending on the location. We have selected some of the top displays for families to check out during this holiday season.
OKC Zoo Safari Lights

Oklahoma City Zoo & Botanical Garden
The OKC Zoo Safari Lights are always a must-see year after year and hold the spot as one of the most popular attractions on the list. The drive-thru light tour offers a one-of-a-kind experience with more than 59 animal-themed light sculptures. The zoo offers holiday-themed treats and snacks, activities and games for kids, and visits from Santa. The event also includes a walkable tour that features interactive light exhibits, light performances with music and much more.
Guests must reserve their spot online before arriving. The zoo also offers hot chocolate, kettle corn and special lights that can be pre-ordered and picked up when guests arrive.
Yukon’s Christmas in the Park

Yukon City Park, Freedom Trail Park & Chisholm Trail Park
Attracting visitors from all over the country, Yukon’s Christmas in the Park is not your average light display. It sits on more than 100 acres and accounts for more than 5 million lights and 500 different displays.
Guests can drive the light display or opt to walk through the park. Photo opportunities are available across the parks to capture the special moments.
Christmas in the Park Train Station offers treats, places for photos, and even an ice-skating rink.
On Fridays and Saturdays, visitors can take pictures with famous Christmas characters such as the Grinch, Elf on the Shelf, and even Santa Claus himself.
