What to do: June events in OKC

School is out and you may be wondering how you are going to spend the summer. Great news is Oklahoma City has plenty of events happening throughout the month of June that can help fill your calendar right out of the summer break gate.
Many events are reoccurring throughout the summer so you can count on them to always provide great fun and entertainment for the whole family.
- The Mid-week Farmers Market at Scissortail Park will take place 5 to 8 p.m. on the last Wednesday of each month. The next market is May 31.
- First Friday, in the Paseo District, has more than 80 artists and 25 businesses and galleries that participate in their monthly art walk. The next First Friday is June 2.
- The Farmers Market at Scissortail Park takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday from April through October and includes local farmers, producers and artisans. The next farmers market is June 3.
- The Myriad Botanical Gardens Full Moon Bike Ride hosts seven one-hour sunset rides throughout the summer. Even if you don’t have your own bicycle, you can rent one from RideOKC or Spokies to participate. Join the next ride at 8:45 p.m. Saturday, June 3.
- RIVERSPORT is hosting its free Summer Music Series from 2 to 5 p.m. every Saturday through Sept. 30. RIVERSPORT is kicking off summer with their Bluegrass, BBQ and Brews event from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 3, and will feature OKC’s The Bottom on the Barrel.
- RIVERSPORT is also hosting its free Floating Films “Summer of Adventure” series each month with the first screening on June 17 featuring “Raiders of the Lost Ark.” You can watch from a raft, float in a tube or bring a lawn chair.
