ADG Blatt marks 50 years of shaping Oklahoma communities

For 50 years, ADG Blatt has helped shape the spaces that define Oklahoma’s communities — from downtown landmarks to cultural institutions and citywide initiatives that continue to influence how people live, work and gather.

Founded in 1975 as an interior design firm, ADG Blatt built its early reputation by approaching design from the inside out, centering the needs of clients and building users. That perspective later expanded into architecture and, in the 1990s, into program management, allowing the firm to guide large, complex projects from vision through execution.

Today, ADG Blatt integrates architecture, interior design, program management and data-driven insight to help clients navigate growth, complexity and long-term planning — an evolution shaped by decades of experience across Oklahoma.

A legacy rooted in place

ADG Blatt’s work is closely tied to some of Oklahoma City’s most recognizable and transformative projects. Over the years, the firm has contributed to developments that helped redefine downtown, preserve history, and expand public access to culture and community spaces.

Notable projects include Bricktown Ballpark, the revitalization of the historic First National Building, and the First Americans Museum, as well as support for MAPS 3 and MAPS 4 initiatives that continue to enhance quality of life across the metro.

Each project reflects the firm’s long-standing approach: creating intentional, functional spaces that strengthen community connections and stand the test of time.

Looking ahead

In 2022, ADG Blatt entered its next chapter with the merger of Blatt Architects and new leadership under President and CEO Jason Cotton. The firm now places an increased emphasis on using data to bring clarity to design and program management decisions.

“Fifty years is an incredible milestone, and we’re proud of the foundation that brought us here,” Cotton said. “From our roots in interior design to the integrated practice we’ve become, clarity through data is now driving our work. It’s the lens that will guide us into a bright future.”

Celebrating and giving back

To mark its 50th anniversary, ADG Blatt hosted a celebration with partners and clients at the First Americans Museum’s Hall of the People in November. In keeping with the firm’s commitment to community, guests were encouraged to donate to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma in lieu of gifts.

With offices in Oklahoma City and Edmond, ADG Blatt remains deeply rooted in the region it serves — continuing a half-century tradition of helping Oklahoma communities envision what’s next and build it with purpose.
