Carley Williams has been appointed to managing partner (MP) of BKD’s Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Enid offices, effective January 2, 2019. Williams succeeds Todd Lisle, who recently transitioned to the MP role for BKD’s Dallas, Fort Worth and Waco offices.

“Carley is a tremendously talented and passionate partner, with a strong appreciation for the values that make BKD so special. I’m excited to see what new ideas he brings to the MP role to help take the Oklahoma practice unit to even greater heights,” said Lisle.

“I’m truly humbled and honored to be chosen to lead such a tremendous group of partners and employees who make up the Oklahoma team, and I’m thankful for the leadership Todd has provided to our practice unit and the successes we’ve achieved as a result,” said Williams. “I’m very passionate to continue building on Oklahoma’s success and to further develop the next generation of up-and-coming leaders.”

Williams has been a partner in the firm’s Tulsa office for more than eight years. Over his 20-year tenure with BKD primarily focused in the health care industry, Williams has provided audit, advisory and consulting services to organizations across the country. He has served as the relationship manager for key BKD clients in the health care, manufacturing and distribution, higher education and not-for-profit industries, among others.  Williams has held various leadership roles with BKD’s Oklahoma practice during his career, including health care niche leader, CPA exam coordinator, recruiting coordinator and most recently leader of BKD Tulsa’s relocation efforts to downtown.

He currently is on the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s (HFMA) national board of directors and is a past HFMA regional executive and past president of HFMA’s Oklahoma chapter. Williams is past chair and a current member of the University of Tulsa Conference of Accountants board of directors.  He also serves on the boards of Tulsa Boys Home, Nicholas Club of Tulsa, Child Abuse Network and The Summit Club of Tulsa.

Williams was Oklahoma Society of CPA’s 2017 Public Service Award recipient and an OSCPA 2011 Trailblazer, as well as a Tulsa Business & Legal News 2014 Men of Distinction honoree.  He is a graduate of Leadership Tulsa Class 42 and a member of Tulsa Area United Way’s Emerging Leaders Society.  Williams is a 1998 graduate of The University of Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a B.S.B.A. degree in accounting.
