BOK's Outstanding Women Leaders program focuses on professional development
Bank of Oklahoma launched its Outstanding Women Leaders (OWL) bi-annual program in 2017. The creation of OWL began as a way to lead, connect and inspire females in the workplace. The event has grown since its launch and BOK leaders continue to stay true to the mission of networking with a diverse community of professional women with a focus on supporting the acceleration of professional development. This mission is carried on by bringing in local speakers and creating an atmosphere where attendees feel open to discuss multiple subjects pertaining to everyday life for women in business.
Most recently, BOK was honored to have as their guest speaker Claudia San Pedro, President of Sonic Industries. She shared parts of her life, professional and personal, and discussed how she has overcome some obstacles along her personal journey.
Past topics of the OWL events have included mentorship among women in business, being driven by purpose, working with different generations and living the life of a CEO. This program is led by Kati Christ, SVP, Corporate Banking Manager, Ellen Fleming, SVP, Regional Executive, Institutional Wealth and Darcy Peterson, VP, Commercial Relationship Manager.
