DRG expands OKC operations with new repair facility

DRG officially cut the ribbon on its new repair facility in Oklahoma City in September, marking an expansion of the company’s capabilities and continued investment in its hometown.
The facility expands DRG’s military training-device parts repair operations and establishes Oklahoma City as the company’s primary hub for servicing components used in defense training systems worldwide.
Located near OKC Will Rogers International Airport, the facility includes approximately 20,000 square feet of secure, climate-controlled warehouse space and 3,000 square feet of office space. It also includes a 500-square-foot precision repair room and serves as a central hub for tools and equipment used by more than 25 field service representatives supporting training devices around the world.
“This repair facility represents a major step forward for our organization and expands a much-needed capability within our industry,” said DRG CEO Brian Busey. “This investment will strengthen the support and responsiveness we provide to our customers and partners around the world.”
Founded in 2002 by Phil G. Busey Sr., DRG began as an aircrew and mission-crew training defense contractor. Under his leadership, the Oklahoma City-based company grew into an international operation supporting military customers and programs around the world.
Leadership of the company transitioned in 2023 to his sons, Philip Busey Jr., president, and Brian Busey, CEO. As DRG has continued to grow, the brothers have remained committed to keeping the company headquartered in Oklahoma City.
“Oklahoma City is home, and remaining headquartered here is central to who we are,” Philip Busey Jr. said. “The city has transformed over the past two decades, and its growing talent, resources, and business community make it possible for companies like DRG to build a global presence from right here in Oklahoma.”
Aerospace and defense is Oklahoma’s second-largest industry, behind oil and gas. DRG’s expansion adds to Oklahoma City’s presence in the sector while increasing the capabilities the company can provide from its home base.
DRG employs more than 1,200 people across 41 states and 19 countries, including approximately 100 employees at its Oklahoma City headquarters.
Built by the Busey family in 2016, DRG’s headquarters in Quail Springs Corporate Park has undergone four major renovations in recent years to accommodate the company’s growth. DRG also maintains its principal warehouse and storage operations in Oklahoma City, supporting procurement, logistics, field services and training-device relocation programs.
Known as a total training systems integrator, DRG operates five main business divisions: training services; mission support and simulation; field services and logistics; aircraft and ground vehicle sustainment; and functional support services.
“As we approach our 25th anniversary in 2027, the future is incredibly bright for our team and for DRG,” Brian Busey said. “We have an opportunity to build a lasting legacy that demonstrates the Oklahoma Standard on a global scale.”
