ECI Insurance Agency team volunteers with Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.
The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma was recently awarded $5,000 from ECI Insurance Agency as part of an ongoing fundraiser.
The donation came as a result of ECI Insurance Agency receiving a 2022 Make More Happen Award from Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance, which recognized the agency’s volunteerism with the food bank, as well as their commitment to making a positive community impact.
“The Make More Happen Awards allow our agents to make an even greater impact in Oklahoma City and we hope it motivates others to do the same,” Nancy Lyons, Safeco Insurance Central Region Senior Territory Manager said.
Along with the $5,000 donation is the chance to double the amount through community support. Throughout October, ECI Insurance Agency and the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma will be featured on a giving site, hosted by award grantees.
The Oklahoma City community can assist the agency’s efforts by visiting the promoted site and sharing the linked story to their social media accounts to help the organization meet their donation goal.
Once the mark of 500 votes is met, ECI Insurance Agency’s $5,000 donation will be doubled to $10,000 for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.
“The Regional Food Bank is a true hero in our community offering critical services for Oklahomans who are the most in need and ECI Insurance Agency is truly honored to advocate for their great cause,” Kara Anderson, Personal Lines Agent for ECI Insurance Agency said.
“We are forever grateful to receive this Make More Happen Award from Liberty Mutual and Safeco to provide the Regional Food Bank with much needed funds to continue their impactful work.”
ECI Insurance Agency volunteers with the food bank throughout the year, along with donating to local food drives. The agency recently helped the food bank prepare 3,252 meals for the nonprofit’s Backpack Program, which benefits elementary students who may be food insecure. The agency also helped pack food boxes for the nonprofit’s Commodity Supplemental Food Program that assists low-income senior citizens.
