Jeff Seymour named executive vice president of economic development
Last month, the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber announced that Jeff Seymour, CEcD, will assume the role of executive vice president of economic development on Sept. 4. Seymour joined the Chamber in 2015 as senior business development manager and was promoted to director of business development in 2017.
Seymour was recently designated as a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) through the International Economic Development Council, the standard of excellence for the profession. Seymour is also a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute. Since joining the Chamber, he has worked on significant relocation and expansion projects with companies like CACI International, Amazon, Solaris Paper and WeGoLook.
“Jeff’s experience leading economic development organizations in Oklahoma and in Kansas, combined with his track record of success since joining our organization made him the ideal candidate to lead our team going forward,” said Roy H. Williams, president and CEO of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber.
Seymour previously served as executive director of the Blackwell Industrial Authority/Chamber of Commerce in Oklahoma and the Franklin County Development Council in Ottawa, Kansas. He also worked with the Ponca City Development Authority.
