MidFirst Bank donates $58k to Diversion Hub

By Staff Reports / Member News / May 9, 2022

Greater OKC Chamber member MidFirst Bank, a privately owned financial institution based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, presented a $58,000 check to Diversion Hub. This not-for-profit organization is a comprehensive, one-stop network dedicated to connecting people involved in the criminal justice system to the vital resources they need to become contributing, stable and responsible members of the community.

“Diversion Hub is sincerely thankful for the generosity of MidFirst Bank in funding a Justice Navigator position that will work on the frontlines of the criminal legal system here in Oklahoma City.  The Justice Navigator will work diligently to assist clients in navigating the criminal legal system by being a strong advocate and expert in helping the client through the court processes.  Diversion Hub believes that with this financial contribution, we will be able to expand our work in building a more efficient and equitable criminal legal system.” said Meagan Taylor, Director of Programs at Diversion Hub.

MidFirst Bank’s gift will directly support Diversion Hub’s Justice Navigation program. This initiative helps clients navigate a variety of pre-trial and/or probation criminal justice procedures such as bond compliance, court reminders, payment plans, pre-trial bond/release programs, warrant assistance, public defender applications, and much more.

“MidFirst Bank is honored to support Diversion Hub and its continued commitment to our community,” said Jordan Jackson, Director of Charitable Giving at MidFirst Bank. “Through Diversion Hub’s unique service model and on-site community partners, individuals are equipped with the resources necessary to help themselves, which can greatly reduce the recidivism rate.”
