Oklahoma City’s professional soccer team is all about community.

As part of its community outreach, each year the OKC Energy FC honors military members with a special night to recognize their contribution to the community and their service here and abroad.

This year’s Military Appreciation night will be June 22 when the Greens kick-off against conference rival Phoenix Rising FC.

“Come honor those who have served and are presently serving in our Armed Forces,” said Jason Hawkins, Energy FC general manager. “The first 2,000 fans will receive mini American flags to wave high in celebration and respect to our troops.”

Active duty military members who present their ID will receive 50% off admission for the 8 p.m. match at Taft Stadium.
