Tower Theatre announces new partnership
Tower Theatre, Oklahoma City’s iconic music and movie venue, announced an official partnership with The Granada Theater – a Dallas live-music staple.
The Granada Theater has been entertaining audiences of all ages from North Texas and beyond since 1946. After periods of neglect and different ownership, it re-opened in 2004 under current owner Mike Schoder. The Granada Theater will acquire a minority ownership stake in Tower Theatre as part of the partnership.
“From day one, Tower Theatre has tried to re-create the hospitality and success of Granada Theater,” said Chad Whitehead, Operating Partner and Talent Buyer for Tower Theatre. “I’ve always admired Granada’s commitment to the community through quality live music and their friendliness to artists and patron’s alike.”
The partnership will strengthen both venues’ position within the industry, enhancing opportunities to book world-class talent in the competitive live-music marketplace.
Tower Theatre is an independently owned live music and movie venue located at 425 NW 23rd Street in the historic Uptown 23rd District in Oklahoma City. For more information about Tower Theatre visit http://www.towertheatreokc.com.
