UCO's LX Studio designs custom InternOKC micro-credential

The University of Central Oklahoma's LX Studio, in partnership with the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, recently created a unique micro-credential offering as part of the 2021 InternOKC program. 

"LX Studio is excited to partner with the Oklahoma City Chamber to help participants of the InternOKC program demonstrate their professional skills in new and creative ways,” said Bucky Dodd, Ph.D., chief learning innovation officer at LX Studio.

InternOKC provides current college students with an opportunity to gain real-world experience in a business setting with some of Oklahoma City's premium corporate partners. This program allows interns an opportunity to meet and network with other interns and learn valuable tools to take with them as they transition from college student to young professional.

Participants in the InternOKC program will have the opportunity to earn a micro-credential, a competency-based credential that provides the earner with mastery in a particular area, through participating in a series of professional development seminars. This micro-credential program is designed to help early-career professionals develop real-world workplace skills. 

Upon successful completion of the micro-credential requirements, participants will earn the InternOKC 2021 digital badge that can be displayed on their resume, professional social media profile and used to demonstrate their abilities to employers.
