Weaver supports OKC through service and giving

Weaver, a national accounting and consulting firm, continues to back the Oklahoma City community through projects led by local employees. While the firm works with clients nationwide, its OKC team focuses on meeting local needs in education, hunger relief and health.
Employees organized several volunteer projects and donations.
At John Rex Charter School, staff delivered 35 backpacks filled with school supplies to help students start the year ready to learn. The donations reduced costs for families and supported student success.
Weaver gave $1,000 to CDH International, a nonprofit that raises awareness of congenital diaphragmatic hernia, a rare birth defect. The gift was part of a company wellness effort that included a virtual walk to support health nonprofits.
At the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, nine Weaver employees and family members packed more than 7,000 pounds of food—enough for about 6,000 meals for families in the area. The Weaver Private Foundation also donated $1,000 through the OKC office.
In January, employees collected and donated gently used books to the Metropolitan Library System’s downtown branch in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The book drive supported reading programs and helped more children and families access books.
Laurie Boyett, who leads community outreach for the OKC office, planned each project. Zeeshan Khan, executive partner for the office, said Boyett’s work ensured the projects helped local residents.
“Laurie’s work helped connect time and resources with real needs in the city,” Khan said. “She ensured our efforts reflected what’s possible when local businesses take meaningful action in a community.”
