Arts Day seeks to help promote art in Oklahoma

By Chamber Staff / Policy / April 1, 2019

Without art, earth is just… eh. And that’s why the Capitol wants to celebrate the arts in Oklahoma this Wednesday, April 3, at Oklahoma Arts Day. This event seeks to increase investment in the arts and to promote the importance of the arts (all kinds! Music, dance, visual arts, drama, media and more), especially in the classroom. The event is being run by Oklahomans for the Arts, a statewide 501c3 nonprofit founded in 2011, and is partnered with the Oklahoma City Arts Council, Norman Arts Council, OK City Chorus of Sweet Adelines, Oklahoma Museums Association and the Route 66 Alliance. The event will feature musical performances, visual arts demonstrations, advocacy training and more. And if you go, don’t forget to post about it with the hashtag #okartsday.

You can learn more about the event on the Arts Day website.
