OKC MSA unemployment rate is 2.8% / ranked No. 6 lowest among large metros

For the month of December, Oklahoma City MSA unemployment (2.8%) remained unchanged from the previous month (November 2.8%). The Oklahoma City metro has enjoyed 41 consecutive months of less than 4 percent unemployment. This continues to be Oklahoma City’s longest unemployment streak under 4 percent in modern history.

2024 was a landmark year for Paycom Center in downtown Oklahoma City, with the venue setting new records for both concert events and ticket sales. The surge in events and ticket sales helped Paycom Center rise to rankings in Pollstar’s Year-End Top Arenas Chart, placing 60th globally and 38th in the United States. These rankings highlight the ASM Global-managed facility as the best-selling arena in the state of Oklahoma.
