Route 66 park boardwalk reopens ahead of 100-year celebration

RAPID NW celebrates first anniversary in OKC, marking key transit milestone

As Oklahoma City continues to grow, expanding public transportation infrastructure is becoming more important. RAPID NW, the region’s first bus rapid transit service, marked its first anniversary this week and is already playing a key role in meeting the city’s growing transit needs. Serving more than 450,000 riders in its first year, RAPID NW is designed to connect major areas of the city, including workplaces, shopping centers, medical facilities, and entertainment spots.

Key to Home Partnership successfully houses 26 people from downtown encampments

Launched in 2023, the Key to Home Partnership is a collaboration of over 50 organizations working to prevent and end homelessness in Oklahoma City. Led by the City of OKC, the initiative aims to address homelessness differently through infrastructure and capacity, as well as reducing youth homelessness and chronic unsheltered homelessness.

Commemorative Saints Santa Run returns to Midtown OKC

This report draws from its 2024 Shop Census, which surveyed 80 independently owned brick-and-mortar shops across the state, from large cities like Oklahoma City and Tulsa to smaller towns like Altus and Woodward. The goal: to understand the challenges, trends, and contributions of independent retailers and provide a resource for shopkeepers and policymakers.
