How a husband-and-wife duo transformed OKC's OAK with public art

Husband-and-wife duo Brad Oldham and Cristy Coltrin of Brad Oldham Sculpture, based in Texas, were brought in by OAK developer Ryan McNeill, who met the couple through a mutual business partner. Coltrin focuses on the character of each piece, while Oldham leads the sculpting. Together, they created a series of public art installations inspired by Oklahoma’s history and spirit.

The restoration of OKC’s historic Jewel Theater

In 2022, Oklahoma City’s historic Jewel Theater announced plans for a restoration and reconstruction project, setting the stage for its future reopening. Funded by the Mellon Foundation, the theater received a $1 million grant to preserve its rich cultural heritage and continue its legacy of community engagement and programming.

OKC Council approves $4.75M for USS Oklahoma City memorial, set to open in 2026

The Oklahoma City Council has unanimously approved funding for a long-awaited memorial dedicated to the legacy of the USS Oklahoma City (SSN-723) submarine, which is set to open in 2026. The Council voted to allocate $4.75 million for enhancements to Wiley Post Park, the chosen site for this significant tribute to the submarine and its sailors.
