The app, which will now begin development and does not yet have a name, will let users pay for the City’s metered on-street parking spaces in the downtown area on the spot with their phone. The street-side meters that take coins and credit or debit cards will also remain in use.

In Norman, residents can also ride the city’s bus for free as they get used to the services offered by EMBARK, which is now operating Norman’s fixed-route bus service and para transit service.
