S&P Global Ratings (Standard & Poor’s) and Moody’s Investor Services (Moody’s) have reaffirmed the AAA and Aaa ratings of the Oklahoma City Water Utilities Trust (OCWUT). The ratings place OCWUT among the top 7% and 5%, respectively, for municipal water and wastewater utilities.
The Association of Central Oklahoma Governments recently released a study that showed the Oklahoma City area is in danger of violating federal ozone standards, which could ultimately cost the city anywhere between $9.6 billion to $15.2 billion over a 20-30-year period.
EMBARK officials recently released findings from the 2021 Transit Rider Survey for its fixed-route bus and OKC Streetcar services. Since 2016, satisfaction with EMBARK’s fixed-route bus service has increased by 9%, with 78% of customers reporting to be satisfied or very satisfied with the service. Satisfaction with EMBARK Norman bus services increased 2% since 2020 to 90%. OKC Streetcar customer satisfaction soared to 97%, a 17% increase since 2020.
Appearing on these types of lists is no accident. The City of Oklahoma City has proven to be responsive to residents, and not combative toward the business community. In fact, we are partners on many levels, and that shows in this latest example of our collective success.
