Oklahoma City Animal Welfare will host its annual Dogtober Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Earlywine Park Pavilion, 3033 SW 119th St. The free, family-friendly event celebrates responsible pet ownership and gives residents the chance to meet their next four-legged friend.
Creating safer, more supportive communities is key to Oklahoma City’s long-term growth. The City of OKC has formed a Youth Safety Advisory Committee (YSAC) to study the root causes of youth violence and identify resources to better support at-risk youth. The Oklahoma City Council has approved final plans for soccer facility improvements at C.B. Cameron Park and South Lakes Park. The projects are part of the $32.34 million MAPS 4 Parks program, which includes upgrades to soccer facilities and public space transformation.
