New Light as a Feather sculpture illuminates the imagination

Oklahoma City residents and visitors are encouraged to join in celebration of the installation of the anticipated “Light as a Feather” (Taking Flight) sculpture at Scissortail Park during a dedication ceremony Dec. 21. The official dedication ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the lighting at 6 p.m. on the northeast corner of Scissortail Park, near Oklahoma City Boulevard and Robinson Avenue downtown.

Oklahoma City was ranked as more affordable than every other city on the list due to its relatively low housing costs and overall cost of living. The site’s evaluations came from a metric system, which graded cities on a 100-point scale – 100 representing the best possible score. With each of the four included categories representing 25% of the overall grade, the site then broke each category down into specific qualities.

Saints Santa Run brings the holiday spirit downtown

The Downtown in December event will include a 5K run, or walk, race through Midtown and the nearby Heritage Hills neighborhood, ending on the campus of the event’s presenting sponsor, SSM Health – St. Anthony Hospital. A separate 1-mile run, or walk, and a 50-yard kids’ dash will also be included.
