OKC Streetcar surpasses 1 million riders, plans for continued success

According to CVB President Zac Craig, from January through June 2021, only about 3,000 visitors attended events at the convention center, a far cry from the approximately 180,000 visitors the convention center saw for the entire 2022 fiscal year.
Chamber members, Oklahoma City Thunder and Devon Energy will partner to present a new community basketball court as a part of the lower Scissortail Park opening. The new court dedication will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 23. It will be the 30th court dedicated to the Oklahoma community by the Thunder, the fourth alongside Devon Energy.
The City of Oklahoma City and Greater Oklahoma City Chamber have established the Oklahoma City Office of Film and Creative Industries. The office will be housed and operated by the Chamber.

Chamber member Lively Beerworks will host this year’s one-night-only 12x12 Art Fundraiser by the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition (OVAC) on September 16. The fundraiser serves as an exhibition of 175 of Oklahoma’s finest artists, each offering an artwork fit to the event’s square format requirement.
The Gilded Acorn is the latest addition to downtown Oklahoma City’s First National Center. The pastry shop is a concept of renowned chef Andrew Black, widely known for his efforts in establishing local favorites Black Walnut and Grey Sweater.
The Oklahoma City Convention & Visitors Bureau and Shop Good have partnered to present a new line of Oklahoma City-influenced apparel. Based on the concept of The Modern Frontier, each hand-printed item incorporates different attractions of the city like the Oklahoma River, skyline, or streetcar.
