Oklahoma City Ballet ready to launch its 2022-23 season

The season will begin with the third annual Ballet Under the Stars presented by Express Employment International, a free community performance held at Scissortail Park on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Featuring excerpts from classical ballet and modern dance, the evening will include 12 short works performed by professional dancers, OU School of Dance students, and students from the Oklahoma City Ballet Yvonne Chouteau School.

Acclaimed artist Gonzalo Lebrija brings new meaning to Automobile Alley

Automobile Alley maintains tradition through contemporary means with the installation of Breve historia del tiempo, an outdoor sculpture suspending a full-sized vehicle above a 50-foot reflecting pool at Campbell Art Park on the district's northeast corner. An opening reception will be held by Oklahoma Contemporary on August 4 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., allowing attendees to witness the elevated 2,500 pound Plymouth Duster.

Oklahoma City wins Best City for Street Art for second consecutive year

For the second consecutive year, Oklahoma City has been selected as USA Today’s number one city for street art. The site put together a panel of experts and in-house editors to determine a top 20 list of nominee cities. Then, the public was allowed to voice support for their favorite city with a four-week voting period to determine the final rankings.
