The City of Oklahoma City is offering potential panhandlers A Better Way, in partnership with Mental Health Association Oklahoma, United Way of Central Oklahoma, Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and local community members.
The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma was recently awarded $5,000 from ECI Insurance Agency as part of an ongoing fundraiser. The donation came as a result of ECI Insurance Agency receiving a 2022 Make More Happen Award from Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance, which recognized the agency’s volunteerism with the food bank, as well as their commitment to making a positive community impact.
Downtown Oklahoma City’s recently completed Scissortail Park will host Foodie Fest of OKC on October 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The free event, organized by OKC Black Eats, will feature live music and entertainment, along with more than 50 food and retail vendors to coincide with the park’s farmer’s market.

OKC Outlets is now home to the latest work of muralist Carlos Barboza. The outlet shops commemorated the new “Fashion through the Ages” mural with a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside Greater Oklahoma City Chamber staff on July 21. The artwork includes references to the trends of yesteryear and beyond, while bringing a contemporary aspect to the sole outlet shopping center in Oklahoma City.
