The Walk4Water4 event is being held to raise awareness of the need for safe water access across the globe and aims to raise $505,000 to be used in providing over 18,000 people in Sub-Saharan Africa with access to safe water.
La casa que nos inventamos: Contemporary Art from Guadalajara features 19 Mexican artists and their nearly 50 works created within the last decade in a conceptual display of paintings, sculptures, installations, and performances. The artists’ home, Guadalajara, has gained prominence throughout the 2000s for its contemporary architecture, design, cuisine, literature, and visual art.
Chamber member Lively Beerworks will host this year’s one-night-only 12x12 Art Fundraiser by the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition (OVAC) on September 16. The fundraiser serves as an exhibition of 175 of Oklahoma’s finest artists, each offering an artwork fit to the event’s square format requirement.
Chamber members The Jones Assembly and Lively Beerworks have partnered to produce The Lively Concert Series, which offers free live music on the Jones patio stage Tuesday-Friday with local musicians, in addition to specialty craft beers brewed especially for The Social Order concepts.
OKC Outlets is now home to the latest work of muralist Carlos Barboza. The outlet shops commemorated the new “Fashion through the Ages” mural with a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside Greater Oklahoma City Chamber staff on July 21. The artwork includes references to the trends of yesteryear and beyond, while bringing a contemporary aspect to the sole outlet shopping center in Oklahoma City.
