With a host of new venues on the scene and older favorites filling their calendars, OKC is the place to be this month if you’re interested in seeing and hearing some big names as well as regional and local icons.
Four different street festivals are ready entertain you in Edmond this summer. Just 15 miles north of OKC, parties along downtown Edmond streets come to life with visual artists, live music, motorcycles and fireworks.

We sat down with the Music Director of OKC Philharmonic Alexander Mickelthwate, who has been with OKC PHIL for three seasons now. Mickelthwate is not only a talented musician and leader, he’s a genuinely kind person.
