Ronald McDonald House Charities® OKC Breaks Ground on New Facility

Ronald McDonald House Charities® Oklahoma City (RMHC®-OKC) marked a milestone April 3 by breaking ground on a new facility in northwest OKC. Founded in 1984, RMHC-OKC provides housing, meals and support at no cost for families with seriously ill or injured children. The nonprofit’s new project aims to expand these services for families across the state who need housing during a child’s medical treatment.

Key to Home Partnership successfully houses 26 people from downtown encampments

Launched in 2023, the Key to Home Partnership is a collaboration of over 50 organizations working to prevent and end homelessness in Oklahoma City. Led by the City of OKC, the initiative aims to address homelessness differently through infrastructure and capacity, as well as reducing youth homelessness and chronic unsheltered homelessness.

Plaza District celebrates 25 years with annual festival, local art and music

The Plaza District will host its 25th Annual Plaza District Festival on Saturday, September 28, from noon to 10 p.m. at 1700 Block of NW 16th St. The 25th Annual Plaza District Festival coincides with Plaza Walls Mural Expo, a rotating mural project celebrating nine years with over 40 new murals by local artists. Plaza Walls is managed by Oklahoma Mural Syndicate, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization promoting and creating public art in Oklahoma.

Tiny Homes, Big Impact: Pivot's ULI-Recognized Initiative for Oklahoma City's At-Risk Youth
