The Oklahoma City Thunder is accepting entries through Feb. 3 for its annual Black Heritage Creative Contest. Presented by Sprite, the contest invites Oklahoma high school students to celebrate Black History Month through creating art based on inspirational experiences, moments or individuals that exemplify Black history.
A new film construction accreditation course is being offered through a a collaborative effort that includes Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC), Prairie Surf Media, Film Education Institute of Oklahoma (FEIO) and Work Ready Oklahoma (WRO).

Oklahoma City was ranked as more affordable than every other city on the list due to its relatively low housing costs and overall cost of living. The site’s evaluations came from a metric system, which graded cities on a 100-point scale – 100 representing the best possible score. Oklahoma City Public Schools’ Northwest Classen High School (NW Classen) inducted its fourth Order of the Round Table class into the school’s Hall of Fame on Friday, Nov. 11, during a ceremony spearheaded by The Friends of Northwest Classen.
The $955-million school bond will impact every one of OKCPS’s 66 schools and all its students by providing much-needed resources to improve buildings, technology, transportation and sorely needed capital improvement projects.
