OKCPS middle schools receive cutting edge mobile STEM labs

Oklahoma City Public Schools implemented STEM labs to all its middle schools and two fifth-grade classrooms. Devon Energy and the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation partnered together to bring science, technology, engineering and mathematics to these classrooms.

Norman Public Schools launches Aviation Academy this fall to help grow aviation workforce

Having an available pipeline of workers is critical to the long-term growth and viability of the state's aviation and aerospace industry. To that end, Norman Public Schools launched the Oklahoma Aviation Academy this fall as a way to expose more high school students from across the state and metro to STEM and to encourage them to consider aviation as a career choice.

Oklahoma ranked No. 1 in the U.S. for high schools teaching aviation

Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell recently announced that Oklahoma is first in the nation for the number of schools approved to teach the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association high school aviation curriculum starting this fall. The 57 school districts across the state that have signed onto the program moved the Sooner State into first place in the United States.
