ReadOKC celebrates top summer readers with ReadOKC On the Go! Book Bus visit

Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) students enjoyed a summer of warm weather and reading thanks to ReadOKC’s “Jump Into Reading” Summer Reading Challenge. Willow Brook Elementary was named as the top elementary school and Star Spencer Mid-High School, which hosts students in grades 7-12, took top reading honors for both the middle and high school categories.

Education leaders from various levels of instruction in Oklahoma will be sharing their thoughts and insights about the status of the state’s education system during the annual State of the Schools event scheduled for Aug. 11 at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
