Work begins today on Manuel Perez Park

The park sits along the Oklahoma River, east of Shields Boulevard. A memorial plaza honoring all of Oklahoma's Medal of Honor recipients is one of the many features coming to the park.

Infrastructure improving thanks to Better Streets, Safer City work

Street resurfacing, trails construction and resurfacing, sidewalk and bike lane construction are being funded by the 10-year bond and a $240 million temporary sales tax. Within the sales tax portion, Wenger said the city has completed about $35 million in street resurfacing, with another $50 million already in work expected to start in the next several months.

Business community rallying to Embrace OKCPS students

The OKC Schools Compact is raising $5 million to help fund mental health services and programs in the schools. The goal has not been met yet, but the school district has already started working on some programs while it waits on the money to be raised.
