Each year, Oklahoma City hosts Bike to Work Day, which originated from the League of American Bicyclists in 1956 as part of Bike-to-Work Week. Join members of our community on Friday, May 21st from 7 AM-9 AM in Bicentennial Park for complimentary coffee and celebration.

Runners to hit the road for new half marathon

With most running events postponed, turned virtual, or cancelled over the past year, runners are eager to get back out and on the road for in-person racing. This is one of many reasons why Chamber member Red Coyote’s inaugural half marathon on May 9th brings enthusiasm to Oklahoma City’s running community.

I thought there was a huge opportunity here, especially with MAPS 3 starting to take shape. I saw Oklahoma City as a sandbox of opportunity. That compelled me to really make a choice to stay here and build something like this.
