The fall festivities continues this week with a Halloween event for dogs and the second round of Haunt the Zoo. On Friday, adults will get their turn to parade the zoo in costumes at Haunt the Zoo: All Grown Up. And be sure to make arrangements to take your little monsters trick-or-treating on Monday in Bricktown. If Halloween isnít your thing, thereís still plenty to do this week.

World travelers, Atlas Obscura, will be at Factory Obscura today to debut their new book and play a trivia game. And thatís only the beginning of the activities this week. Be sure to get plenty of caffeine because youíll need it; with the OKC Thunder taking on the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday, live performances at Lyric Theater and the Civic Center Music Hall and three days of shopping this weekend at An Affair of the Heart.

And be sure to take your little punkiní to see all sorts of pumpkins and scarecrows at Myriad Gardensí Pumpkinville, a fall tradition thatís open until Oct. 27.

One of the final MAPS 3 projects, Scissortail Park, opens Friday with a free, live concert by Oklahomaís own, Kings of Leon. Thereís plenty of festivities planned for the entire weekend. But before you pack up and head outside, pop into the Civic Center Music Hall and see Fiddler on the Roof, which opens Tuesday. The timeless classic is only here until Sunday.

I thought there was a huge opportunity here, especially with MAPS 3 starting to take shape. I saw Oklahoma City as a sandbox of opportunity. That compelled me to really make a choice to stay here and build something like this.
