For a lot of Oklahoma City residents, the unofficial start to the holiday shopping season is when the Holiday Pop-Ups opens its doors in Midtown. Starting back in 2012, the Holiday Pop-Ups are a great way to find that one-of-a-kind gift while supporting our amazing local-retail community.
RIVERSPORT OKC’s Winter Glow holiday family experience begins today and continues through December 30. The experience includes opportunities to ski or snowboard on the Ski OKC indoor slope, or to ice skate or curl on RIVERSPORT’s synthetic ice-skating rink. Climbing experiences will also be included, with four covered climbing options available – a cavern wall, leap of faith, adventure climb and speed wall. Visitors can also experience a simulated ice climb, decorated for the holiday season.

A follow up to the nation’s most widely known shopping holiday, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday encourages the economic empowerment of local retailers. Held this year on Nov. 26, the annual attraction brings business to smaller stores that may be overlooked by larger corporations during the holiday shopping season, while providing a boost to local economies.

Oklahoma City’s Devon Ice Rink opened for its winter season on Nov. 16 through Jan. 29, 2023. The 5,500-square-foot ice rink opens annually for visitors not only from across the city but the state. Surrounded by the aura of downtown’s Myriad Botanical Gardens, the rink allows children and adults alike to experience a seasonal thrill.
