Baseball, balloons, beaches, banjos and a Broadway show are a few things on this week’s calendar. There are plenty of events at which to try new cocktails as well, with the Girls Scouts of Western Oklahoma hosting their annual Cookies & Cocktails event on Aug. 8 and river cruises being offered Friday and Saturday evenings. Also this weekend, Citizen Potawatomi Nation hosts a hot air balloon festival at its headquarters in Shawnee.

On Saturday, you can either check out the cat video festival or watch the metro’s professional soccer team battle it out at Taft Stadium.
