This is the last week to visit the Oklahoma State Fair, so be sure to go grab your favorite fair food before everything is packed up. This week is also the last few days to see Lyric Theatre’s production of Frost/Nixon. Oh and be sure to take your family and friends to The Musical Swings, which make their debut on Sept. 20 at Bicentennial Park.
The Oklahoma State Fair is in town from Sept. 12 - 22.
What signals the start of fall? Football, a plethora of pumpkin spice products and, for us, the Oklahoma State Fair. Beloved by Oklahomans for generations, the Oklahoma State Fair is back Sept. 12-22 at State Fair Park.
What would the Oklahoma State Fair be without the deep-fried, chocolate-covered food options that make the experience?
When it comes to partnership, the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber and the State Fair of Oklahoma go together like mac ‘n’ cheese, especially if that mac ‘n’ cheese is covered in batter and deep fried.
To celebrate the companies that contribute so much to the community, the Chamber hosts an annual event called Metro 50 that highlights the region’s fastest-growing, privately held companies.
Visit Bricktown Beach this month before it closes on Sept. 15. But if it’s still too hot to spend much time outside, there are plenty of art exhibits around the city, such as Colors of Clay at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum or Seeing Now at the 21C Museum Hotel. If you don’t make to the state fair this week, it will be in town until Sept. 22.
What we’re talking about – and what you’re going to hear more about in the next few months – are the Metropolitan Area Projects.
