Sometimes it may seem that there is so many new things to enjoy at the State Fair that it can be a little daunting trying to figure out where you should begin.
This is the last week to visit the Oklahoma State Fair, so be sure to go grab your favorite fair food before everything is packed up. This week is also the last few days to see Lyric Theatre’s production of Frost/Nixon. Oh and be sure to take your family and friends to The Musical Swings, which make their debut on Sept. 20 at Bicentennial Park.
Water4 exists to reimagine a world where every person has access to safe water by equipping local entrepreneurs in developing countries to provide sustainable safe water access to every home, school and clinic in their communities. Since 2008, this Oklahoma City-based international nonprofit has completed over 5,000 water projects impacting over 1.3 million people’s lives with access to safe water.
The Oklahoma State Fair is in town from Sept. 12 - 22.
Oklahoma Contemporary will open March 13. The first exhibition, Bright Golden Haze, will showcase works featuring light.
Visit Bricktown Beach this month before it closes on Sept. 15. But if it’s still too hot to spend much time outside, there are plenty of art exhibits around the city, such as Colors of Clay at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum or Seeing Now at the 21C Museum Hotel. If you don’t make to the state fair this week, it will be in town until Sept. 22.
