City of OKC offers lists of pre-qualified artists

The 2019-2020 edition of the 333-page publication is the fifth edition of the pre-qualified artists publication. Getting all the artists together in one guide was the culmination of another effort that started in 2009, said Robbie Kienzle, arts and cultural affairs liaison and program planner for the city

OKC to launch smartphone app for on-street parking in metered spaces

The app, which will now begin development and does not yet have a name, will let users pay for the Cityís metered on-street parking spaces in the downtown area on the spot with their phone. The street-side meters that take coins and credit or debit cards will also remain in use.

EMBARK's streetcar and bus pass sale begins, other festivities this month

On the weekends, as part of Downtown In December celebrations, residents can ride the OKC Streetcar for free. The offer runs until Jan. 5. In Norman, residents can also ride the cityís bus for free as they get used to the services offered by EMBARK, which is now operating Normanís fixed-route bus service and para transit service.

I thought there was a huge opportunity here, especially with MAPS 3 starting to take shape. I saw Oklahoma City as a sandbox of opportunity. That compelled me to really make a choice to stay here and build something like this.
